SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES, Philippines — Some areas in four towns in Zambales province have lost electricity amid the onslaught of Super Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong) on Sunday night, November 9. GSIS implements 3-month grace period for payment of emergency loans

MANILA, Philippines — The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Sunday announced the implementation of a 3-month grace period or moratorium on the payment of emergency loans for members and pensioners impacted by recent typhoons. According to the GSIS in a statement, the moratorium was implemented to ease the financial strain on affected members and pensioners recovering from recent calamities. “Borrowers will not be required to make payments for three months, giving members and pensioners time to recover, rebuild, and get back on their feet without the immediate burden of loan payments,” the GSIS said.
