MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has issued show-cause orders against the operators of at least 10 public utility vehicles (PUVs) along Quezon City for lacking garages. This came after the LTFRB-NCR (National Capital Region) Inspection Team conducted a roadside inspection on Tuesday, identifying 10 PUV units that were “improperly parked” along West Avenue and Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue. MANILA, Philippines — Persons with disabilities (PWDs) are now able to work as station service aides at the Manila Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1), the railway’s private operator said. Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) on Wednesday announced that it has begun deploying PWDs into its station workforce as ambulant ticket vendors. PWDs hired by the railway operator under its “Project PWD: Promoting Workforce Diversity” program will be employed under a part-time scheme.
