Barbie Forteza and Enchong Dee team up for digital series

The popular streaming platform Netflix Philippines unveiled its upcoming lineup of Filipino films and series to watch for in 2026. The announcement was made during a grand press conference on Monday, February 9, at the Grand Hyatt Manila, where Netflix Content Lead Vitto Lazatin detailed the streaming platform's offerings for the year, which focus on Filipino storytelling. Included in the lineup is a series titled Paskong Pinoy , a four-episode anthology featuring the pairing of Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza and Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee in an episode titled "A Perfect Christmas." During the press conference, Barbie shared a brief preview of the plot for her and Enchong's episode. “As much as Christmas is very much a family thing; very intimate, very personal, it's the holiday that everyone really looks forward to, our episode, A Perfect Christmas, we will go through the lives of the employees, the ones working during the holidays,” Barbie said. She continued, “During the holidays, they had to really push the sales and so; maybe the bosses tend to forget that we need to celebrate with our families.” The Kapuso actress also mentioned that this marks the first time she and Enchong will be paired together and working on a project. “But then, behind all of that, my character will kind of find someone unexpected, but very exciting to be with, which is Enchong Dee. It's our first time working together actually,” Barbie shared. On Instagram, Enchong shared a cute selfie of him and Barbie. According to him, he is happy to share their fun chemistry, even jokingly calling themselves the “duo with no eyes.” “I'm so happy we can finally share our kakulitan! Ang duo na walang mga mata,” Enchong wrote in his Instagram story. The actor also joked about the possible name for his and Barbie's "love team": “@netflixph started Barchong or Enbie?” Enchong also shared a message expressing his joy in working with Barbie, adding his chosen name for their love team. “Na para bang hindi unang beses magkawork. Super happy to work with you! Walang katapusang kwentuhan at tawanan. BarChong ako,” Enchong wrote.
