"Debris removal operations are underway in Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima province after a construction crane collapsed onto a passenger train, killing at least 32 people. Footage captured on Thursday shows workers and heavy machinery clearing the wreckage at the crash site. Several train carriages can be seen badly dented, with extensive exterior damage caused by the impact. The incident occurred on Wednesday when the crane fell onto a train carrying 195 passengers and crew travelling from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani, causing multiple carriages to derail. Officials said at least 32 people were killed and around 60 others injured, while three people remain missing. Thai authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crane collapse. Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul pledged that there would be 'consequences' for those found responsible. The construction work was part of a high-speed rail project linking Bangkok with Kunming via Laos, a flagship regional transport corridor. Only 24 hours after the train disaster, a second crane collapse occurred on the Rama 2 Road expressway in Samut Sakhon province, killing at least two people."
