? Live: SpaceX launches 11th Starship test flight in Texas

"SpaceX launches its 11th Starship test flight from Starbase, Texas on Monday, October 13. The stainless-steel rocket is touted as the world’s most powerful and is designed to be fully reusable for missions to the Moon and Mars. The flight marks the final mission of the 'Version 2' Starship before SpaceX shifts to a larger model. It follows a similar profile to August’s Flight 10, with the booster aiming for a splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico and the upper stage releasing dummy satellites before re-entering the atmosphere. This test focuses on a new landing burn sequence for the Super Heavy booster, firing five of its 33 Raptor engines instead of three to improve safety and efficiency. Engineers will also remove heat-shield tiles from the upper stage to stress-test specific areas during descent."

'Restore and reinvigorate' - India, Canada reopen diplomatic ties after year-long rift over killing of Sikh leader

"India and Canada agreed on Monday to take a series of steps to rebuild strained diplomatic ties, marking their first high-level meeting since relations deteriorated over the assassination of a Sikh separatist leader in Canada in 2023. Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, on her first official visit to India, met with her counterpart S. Jaishankar in New Delhi to discuss measures aimed at restoring trust and cooperation. The two sides announced plans to launch ministerial-level discussions on trade and investment, part of a broader roadmap to revive dialogue across multiple sectors. “We are working to restore and reinvigorate the mechanisms necessary to advance our partnership,” Jaishankar said at a joint press briefing. “When we look at Canada, we see a complementary economy, another open society, and a basis for a close, sustainable, and long-term cooperative framework.” Anand said the renewed dialogue between Canada and India reflected that the sides are “collectively committed to advancing this relationship now and in the long term, particularly when it comes to our mutual priorities in the Indo-Pacific." The ministers outlined an ambitious plan to expand collaboration in areas including agriculture, science, technology, critical minerals, and civil nuclear cooperation. Both governments also reaffirmed their commitment to advancing shared goals in the Indo-Pacific region, multilateral cooperation, and climate action. Anand has also held a meeting with Prime Minsiter Nahendra Modi who said the visit would strengthen "efforts to impart new momentum" to the two countries' partnership. The Foreign Minsiter is also set to meet India's Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal to discuss boosting trade ties, before visiting Mumbai to speak to business leaders about investments and economic opportunities. The two countries will also resume the Canada–India CEO Forum, which brings together executives from both countries to increase bilateral trade and investment. The announcement comes as Delhi deals with a punitive 50% tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump on Indian goods. The talks follow months of diplomatic tension caused by Canada’s allegations of Indian involvement in the killing of Indian-born Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Sikh separatist leader, in June 2023. India has strongly rejected the claims, calling them 'absurd'. Despite the rift, officials have held behind-the-scenes meetings in recent months. National security advisers from both countries met in New Delhi in September, followed by talks between senior foreign ministry officials and trade ministers in October. Anand will travel to China and Singapore next, as part of Canada's Indo-Pacific strategy that focuses on deepening the country's engagement in the region."
