Space-tacular! - Seoul opens astronomy festival to observe stars and planets

"A special astronomy festival opened in Seoul on Saturday, offering residents a chance to observe stars and planets in space. Footage shows the rooftop stargazing event at the Seoul Science Center, where visitors are seen looking through several telescopes. "It was new and exciting to let my child try a telescope today, something we don't usually get to experience," resident Kim Mi Joo commented. Despite the limited visibility, organisers reported the experience still drew strong interest from families and astronomy enthusiasts. "We came hoping to do some stargazing, but all we could see were clouds, which was really disappointing. Still, there was an educational program on the second floor, which made the visit worthwhile,” another participant added. The 2025 Starlight Festival, called 'A Night Filled with Stars', will run for two days, which includes celestial observations, expert lectures, and hands-on science programs aimed at families and casual stargazers."
