'Nobody dies under bombs anymore' - Thousands of pro-Palestine activists march in Milan amid Gaza ceasefire

"Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators took to the streets of Milan on Saturday in solidarity with the people of Gaza. The march, organised by API (Palestinian Association of Italy), started at Porta Venezia and ended at Piazza Scala, where demonstrators temporarily renamed the square Piazza Gaza. For the past two weeks, it has been occupied by tents and a permanent protest camp. Footage features activists carrying Palestinian flags, banners, and placards reading messages such as 'The new Hitler and his accomplice', referencing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Speaking at the event, Elio Lupoli, a leading activist, criticised the ceasefire deal, calling it a 'tombstone peace on the Palestinian people'. "It was conceived, constructed, and verified because a so-called peace plan has to be made even with the Palestinian people. And no one has called any of them to the table officially," he claimed. Commenting on ongoing humanitarian concerns, Lupoli said that "the fact that they were asking for 400 trucks a day at the beginning means, once again, in the general silence, that they are using hunger - they are centring humanitarian aid in order to be able to kill people." Police officers were seen monitoring the event along the route to ensure that the march proceeded smoothly without any incidents. The Gaza ceasefire went into effect on Friday as Israeli forces started withdrawing from parts of Gaza. On September 29, US President Donald Trump unveiled his 20-point Gaza plan alongside Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. The plan itself would see an immediate end to fighting, with the release of all hostages alive or dead within 72 hours, as well as 250 Palestinians serving life sentences and 1,700 Gazans who were detained after October 7.  Hamas conditionally accepted the US-brokered plan, offering to release Israeli captives through Qatari and Egyptian mediators if Israel agrees to a lasting peace and full withdrawal. Trump welcomed the response, describing it as a 'very special' moment and 'unprecedented in many ways'. "

'Promise of Israel of a real ceasefire seems unrealistic' - Dozens rally in Amsterdam to support Palestine as Israel-Hamas ceasefire underway

"Dozens of pro-Palestine activists rallied in Amsterdam on Saturday under the slogan 'Gaza will never fall' in Amsterdam on Saturday as the long-awaited ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was being implemented. Footage shows protesters marching through the streets of the Dutch capital, carrying Palestinian flags and signs that say 'We are all Palestinians' and 'Free Palestine, boycott Israel', among other slogans. Protesters expressed suspicion about the US-brokered ceasefire, given Israel's previous violations of agreements. "Israel has breached the ceasefire multiple times," one of the protesters said, adding, "The promise of Israel, of a real ceasefire at this point, seems unrealistic without stronger consequences for them. So I'm not sure if Israel will actually follow through with the ceasefire." "The conflict will end when Palestine is recognised as a country free of all colonialism and genocide, and let all the Palestinians go back to their homelands," another protester commented. ‘Clings to his little throne like a madman!’ - Philippot as hundreds rally to demand Macron resignation after Lecornu reappointment

‘Clings to his little throne like a madman!’ - Philippot as hundreds rally to demand Macron resignation after Lecornu reappointment

"Hundreds of people joined an anti-government protest in Paris on Saturday, demanding the resignation of President Emmanuel Macron amid the deepening political crisis in France. Footage shows protesters chanting such slogans as ‘Macron out’ and ‘Freedom’, while marching through the streets of the French capital. They can be seen lighting flares of the French flag colours and waving national flags. President of Les Patriotes party, Florian Philippot, led the rally, carrying a large banner bearing ‘Impeachment’. He condemned French President Emmanuel Macron's recent decision to reappoint Prime Minister Sebastian Lecornu just days after he resigned from his post. “What happened yesterday at the Elysee Palace is surreal because we have a man who is completely unpopular, illegitimate, who wants to take us into war, who wants to censor everything except himself, and who clings to his little throne at the Elysee Palace like a madman,” he stated. "Frexit is the solution: to liberate ourselves, to be a free country and a free people, an independent country and an independent people. A sovereign country and a sovereign people. Long live France and free France!" he continued. Others at the rally echoed his sentiments. “He's there to destroy France and the French people. Macron and all the people around him who are highly paid and not doing their jobs need to be removed,” declared protester Dominique. “We are in the European Union, everything is decided, if not in Frankfurt, then in Brussels, if not in Brussels, then in Washington, because of the European Union Treaty and the NATO Treaty. Being in the euro, which is a currency that is delusional in itself. That's already three big problems,” Philippe said. “The real problem, in my opinion, is Europe, which was sold to us as something other than what it actually is today. Today, it is a huge machine that wants to crush the people,” Corinne added. The resignation of Lecornu, the country's fifth PM in two years, came just hours after he had announced his cabinet. The outgoing PM blamed 'egos', saying rival parties were behaving as if they had a majority in the National Assembly and demanding their own policy platforms be taken in full. Shortly after the resignation announcement, Macron asked him to stay in office for two more days to negotiate with the opposition in an attempt to overcome the political impasse. Macron is facing widespread calls for his resignation, with the New Popular Front (NPF) alliance pressing him to appoint a new prime minister from their bloc."

‘Red card to Israel’ – Tight security and mass protests as Norway faces Israel in tense World Cup qualifier

"One of the most tense and politically charged football matches in recent memory took place on Saturday as Norway hosted Israel in a FIFA World Cup qualifier under unprecedented security measures. Police imposed a heavy anti-terror cordon around Ullevaal Stadion, with reinforced patrols amid calls for pro-Palestinian protests against Israel’s participation, as footage shows. Authorities described the operation as the most high-security sports event in Norway since the 1994 Winter Olympics. Hundreds of police officers and special units were deployed across Oslo, and Mossad agents accompanied the Israeli delegation. A police spokesperson stated that the measures were intended to prevent potentially hostile acts during the visit. Before the match, several thousand people marched peacefully from Oslo’s city centre to a stage near the stadium with placards reading 'Red card to Israel', in a rally organised by the Palestine Committee in Norway and other solidarity groups. Demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and placards demanding that Israel be suspended from international football over alleged violations of international law. Proceeds from the match were donated to Doctors Without Borders for humanitarian work in Gaza. Norway went on to secure a 5–0 victory over Israel, moving closer to qualification for their first World Cup appearance in 27 years."

'Blood of our children will be torch for humanity towards freedom' - Palestinian child treated in Italy laid to rest in Rome

'Blood of our children will be torch for humanity towards freedom' - Palestinian child treated in Italy laid to rest in Rome

"Mourners gathered in Rome on Sunday to pay their final respects to Saad, a three-year-old Palestinian child who passed away despite being evacuated to Italy to undergo treatment. Footage from Flaminio Cemetery shows Saad's mother and relatives mourning as he was laid to rest. A Palestinian can be seen flag draped his coffin, while community members tied wreaths and laid flowers in tribute. "We have always hoped that Saad, like so many other sick children, who should, and could, experience and live their childhood, play and live like all the other children in the world," said Yousef Salman, President of the Palestinian Community in Rome. Ashour Salameh, the Former President of the Palestinian Community in Rome, sees Saad's death as a symbolic reflection of the ongoing hardships faced by Palestinians. "We will say that the blood of our children and our martyrs will be the torch that lights the path for all of humanity towards freedom, towards justice, because today the Palestinian flag is not only a symbol for those born on this land," he said. In August, Italy evacuated 31 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip who were seriously injured and in need of urgent medical care - the largest medical evacuation of minors. Salman expressed concern that the newly agreed ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will mirror previous failed truces, stating that he hopes 'new bombings will not resume' once Israeli hostages are released. The first phase of the agreement between Israel and Hamas came into force on Friday, covering a ceasefire, the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, as well as an Israeli withdrawal to the 'yellow line', a boundary limit within Gaza. The truce forms part of US President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace proposal, unveiled on September 29 alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."
