SHAH ALAM – Seramai 16 individu termasuk pegawai dan bekas pegawai institusi perbankan, yang ditahan kerana terlibat dalam kegiatan rasuah dengan sebuah syarikat perunding kewangan bagi meluluskan pinjaman peribadi pelanggan sejak Januari lalu, akan didakwa secara berperingkat sepanjang Oktober ini.Menurut sumber, Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) telah memperoleh kebenaran untuk mendakwa kesemua individu terlibat di Mahkamah Kuala Lumpur secara berperingkat."Dua pegawai bank telah dituduh semalam (Khamis) dan empat bekas pegawai bank didakwa hari ini."Pertuduhan juga akan dijalankan di beberapa negeri, antaranya di Mahkamah Sesyen Seremban, Mahkamah Sesyen Shah Alam dan Mahkamah Sesyen Kota Kinabalu," katanya pada Jumaat.Menurut sumber sama, jumlah keseluruhan pertuduhan adalah sebanyak 349, dengan nilai keseluruhan yang terlibat dianggarkan hampir RM2 juta.Semua suspek akan dituduh di bawah Seksyen 16(a)(A) Akta SPRM 2009.Difahamkan, mereka dipercayai menerima rasuah sebagai balasan membantu memproses serta meluluskan permohonan pinjaman peribadi yang dikemukakan oleh syarikat perunding kewangan terbabit secara serentak, sehingga menyebabkan pelanggan memiliki beberapa pinjaman melebihi had kelayakan.Sebelum ini, menerusi pelaksanaan Op Sky, SPRM merampas kira-kira 4,000 dokumen bagi membantu siasatan berhubung kelulusan pinjaman terbabit, yang dipercayai melibatkan kegiatan sindiket rasuah dan pengubahan wang haram.Kes berkenaan dikesan selepas SPRM berjaya menumpaskan sindiket perunding kewangan dan rangkaian dalam institusi perbankan yang dipercayai aktif sejak tahun 2020.Siasatan turut mendapati sindiket berkenaan menawarkan perkhidmatan perunding kewangan kepada penjawat awam melalui media sosial, selain menganjurkan jelajah ke beberapa jabatan dan kementerian.
