MUAR : The body of a man whose car plunged into Sungai Panchor in Pagoh yesterday was found and retrieved at 1.01 am today by the search team. Pagoh Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Nor Alfatah Omar said the victim was identified as Mud Husni Mahmud, 47, and was found inside a black Proton Saga car about 15 metres deep at the bottom of the river. He stated that at 10.21 pm, the water rescue unit from the Muar and Skudai Fire and Rescue Stations managed to locate the vehicle about 50 metres from the riverbank before it was lifted using a crane. The body was later handed over to the police for further action. The operation ended at 1.38 am and involved 20 personnel from the Pagoh, Muar and Skudai Fire and Rescue Stations. – Bernama

Komander Operasi Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Pagoh Pegawai Bomba Kanan I Nor Alfatah Omar berkata mangsa Mud Husni Mahmud berusia 47 tahun ditemui dalam kereta berwarna hitam selepas kenderaan berjaya dinaikkan menggunakan kren. Beliau menyatakan kereta dan mayat mangsa berjaya dikeluarkan selepas operasi mencari dan menyelamat selama 11 jam. Kenderaan tersebut ditemui pada kedalaman kira-kira 15 meter di dasar sungai. Pasukan Penyelamat Di Air dari Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Muar dan Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Skudai dikerahkan ke lokasi untuk melakukan beberapa selaman khas. Pada jam 10.21 malam pasukan Penyelamat Di Air berjaya mengesan kenderaan itu pada jarak kira-kira 50 meter dari tebing. Kerja menaikkan kereta kemudian dijalankan sejurus kenderaan berjaya dikesan. Mayat mangsa kemudian diserahkan kepada polis untuk tindakan lanjut. Operasi mencari dan menyelamat ditamatkan pada jam 1.38 pagi dengan melibatkan 20 anggota dari tiga balai bomba. According to the Order Paper on Parliament’s official website, Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah (BN-Paya Besar) is seeking an explanation from the Prime Minister on how far the peace plan aligns with Malaysia’s principles and efforts in championing the rights of the Palestinian people and the sovereignty of the state, during the Minister’s Question Time, which begins at 10 am. At the same session, Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (PN-Masjid Tanah) will ask the Prime Minister about the government’s readiness to ensure the success of Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2026, particularly in terms of international promotion and state government participation, as well as whether expenditure is based on the principle of ‘value for money’.
