La "nuova vita" di Michelle Obama immortalata su Instagram, con la classica foto di coppia con il consorte Barack Obama e una foto di auguri di Natale ben poco... natalizia. L'ex first lady americana, a 61 anni, appare letteralmente rinata. Vestita di nero, pizzi e trasparenze malandrine, lunghe treccine "afro" in testa al posto della "cofana liscissima" esibita ai tempi della Casa Bianca. La personalità non le è mai mancata, tanto che più d'un papavero all'interno del Partito democratico aveva pensato a lei come candidata ufficiale alla presidenza al posto del declinante Joe Biden e, soprattutto, della sua disastrosa vice Kamala Harris. Com'è andata a finire, contro Donald Trump , è noto a tutti e forse è cresciuto nella sinistra americana il rimpianto di non aver spinto davvero sull'acceleratore per convincere Lady Obama. Lei però sembra tutto tranne che presa dalla nostalgia. Sempre più donna-immagine, presa tra mille campagne sociali e politiche. E un percorso di riaffermazione della propria identità e individualità a tratti travolgente, anche sui social. Negli ultini tempi in tanti hanno assistitito con un misto di stupore, curiosità, ammirazione e critica alla sua metamorfosi. Più magra (c'è chi parla di ricorso all' Ozempic , l'aiutino a cui sono ricorsi tanti e tante vip d'Oltreoceano per risolvere i problemi con il peso in modo più rapido), sempre sorridente, abbigliamento decisamente meno formale e progetti top, come lo shooting fotografico con la grande Annie Leibovitz , il cui obiettivo ha immortalato i più grandi. Rome's public transport system follows reduced schedule on main holiday dates over 2025 Christmas season.  24 December. Christmas Eve. All of Rome's subways, buses and trams will run until 21.00, with night buses following normal weekday timetable. 25 December. Christmas Day. Buses, metro and trams run from 08.30-13.00 and 16.30-21.00. Night buses follow usual weekday timetable. 26 December. St Stephen's Day. Buses and trams run according to normal Sunday/festivo timetable. Metro until 01.30. Night buses follow weekend timetable. 31 Dec. New Year's Eve. Buses and trams until 21.00. 12 buses* serving key metro stations will run until 02.30. Subways run until 02.30 at night (early hours of 1 Jan), after which night buses run until 08.00. *H, 2, 128, 170, 200, 280, 301, 336, 544, 766, 881, 905. 1 Jan 2026. Rome will ring in 2026 with a free New Year's concert at the Circus Maximus with a line-up including Alessandra Amoroso, Fabri Fibra and Tananai. The concert kicks off at 21.00, with dj sets keeping the party going into the wee hours. For those who want to see out 2025 by combining sport with the sights of the Eternal City, the We Run Rome event takes place through the streets of the capital on New Year's Eve afternoon. Così in un post su Truth il presidente degli Stati Uniti, Donald Trump, ha annunciato l'attacco Usa in Nigeria di questa notte. “Stasera – spiega -, su mia indicazione in qualità di Comandante in Capo, gli Stati Uniti hanno sferrato un attacco potente e letale contro la ‘feccia terroristicà dell'Isis nel nord-ovest della Nigeria, che ha preso di mira e ucciso brutalmente, principalmente, cristiani innocenti, a livelli che non si vedevano da molti anni, e persino da secoli!”. “Avevo già avvertito questi terroristi che se non avessero smesso di massacrare i cristiani, avrebbero pagato un prezzo altissimo, e stasera è successo – aggiunge -. Il Dipartimento della Guerra ha eseguito numerosi attacchi perfetti, come solo gli Stati Uniti sono in grado di fare. Sotto la mia guida, il nostro Paese non permetterà al terrorismo islamico radicale di prosperare. Che Dio benedica le nostre forze armate e Buon Natale a tutti, compresi i terroristi morti, che saranno molti di più se continueranno a massacrare i cristiani”. L'attacco arriva dopo che Trump nelle scorse settimane aveva criticato più volte il governo del Paese africano, accusato di non riuscire a frenare la persecuzione dei cristiani.
